Royal Tara

A set of these tea cups and saucers journeyed across the sea from Ireland when my husband and his family immigrated to Canada, over 50 years ago.

Royal Tara fine bone china started in Galway in 1953, and closed its factory doors in 2003.  A Book of Kells and shamrock designs became an international favourite, and Royal Treasure, a Book of Kells-inspired pattern, is now a collectible. The company continues to design several lines of china, including Clara Ceramics.

Drink tea and it’ll be grand!

Happy Monday!
