I told my diary I set up and took some photos outside in my driveway one sunny day last week. What was in that special teapot? Higgins & Burke Gourmet Organic Rooibos Vanilla Infusion.
Higgins & Burke is a brand under the parent company, Mother Parker’s. They believe in being environmentally, socially, and economically responsible and have partnered with a number of organizations that support the sustainability of resources and the dignity of all workers. This tea was certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA).
Did you know…
Vanilla is the only edible fruit of the orchid family, the largest family of flowering plants in the world. Every vanilla bean has a unique colour, flavour and aroma.
This Organic South African rooibos was infused with vanilla to give it a delicately sweet and inviting flavour. I found it much a more subtle flavour than Tetley’s Red Rooibos Vanilla Tea. Higgins & Burke’s tea also had a much warmer red colour. Tetley, however, is more readily available in the stores I frequent, namely grocery and drug store chains, and I prefer the stronger flavour. I find as I get older, I have less patience for subtle. I’m not sure that’s a good thing.
