Strawberries are one of those delights of early summer that I look forward to every year. They evoke memories of sunny childhood days, crouched in a patch of straw near my mother and grandmother, sneaking sweet berries into my mouth. Still warm from sun.

Even now, I eat them with all of my senses.
But, to my disappointment, a tasty strawberry tea is as elusive as a great summer blockbuster. Both have their are high points, but in the end, they just don’t deliver. So if you find a berry tea that you like, buy 2 packages, just in case it becomes elusive too!
This week, what’s in my cup? Tetley’s Summerberries Tea. This herbal tea is a delicious, slightly tart blend of hibiscus, rosehip, apple and strawberry. I love the colour too – pink!

It went delightfully with a “cheaty” non-baked homemade wild berry cheesecake. Who needs a recipe? First, I made a crumb using crushed graham crackers, melted butter and brown sugar. Second, I whipped wildberry cream cheese, and folded in whipped cream to the consistency that I wanted. Finally I topped it with a fresh strawberry.
Both were Berry Yummy! Cheers!
