TMIs suddenly manifest when someone says something  that, in Hubby’s words, end up painting a mental picture “with broad, sweeping strokes”. What someone says may be innocent enough, but your brain (whether it dwells in the gutter or not) spontaneously fills in the blanks with…a terrible mental image.

This Friday’s gem is also from my own life…in fact, it was only 2 weeks ago.

The Scene:

3:00 p.m. on a damp, cloudy day. I am standing in the schoolyard while Little Guy plays with a friend on the playground, when…

…the Grandfather I’ve been talking to bellows to our kids across the school yard…

“Guys, it’s time to go. Mrs. S is cold and she’s not wearing any pants…”

Every head in the school yard whipped in my direction. I was cold and I wasn’t wearing pants…I was wearing a skirt…

Happy Weekend!
