May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
This week’s Photo Challenge was to capture the “infinite”, moments that can catch us by surprise. I took the picture above with my simple point & shoot camera. Big Guy tried a shot too with my Dad’s “fancy” camera. I loved both results!
I love the black and white photo. Coolness!
That is a great shot – wonderfully dramatic!
Thank you!

Both terrific, great for the challenge. And the quote is prefect.
Thank you. I love the Lord of the Rings books.
The drama of the black/white and light/dark stands out for me. The second photo votives disappearing into a vanishing point is spectacular. We have luminaries in our neighborhood during Christmas. I may send you a few of those shots.
I’d love to see them! This was my Mom’s “fireplace” -a votive candle lantern with 5 candles, but the mirror behind makes it look like more candles. I can’t believe Christmas is only a few weeks away…
