If you were hoping for an interesting story related to moose or Bullwinkle, you will be disappointed. Unless my tale about the moose that went jogging across our campsite when I was a kid, leaving behind its distinctive tracks, would be of any interest? I thought not!

No, I’m talking about moose tracks ice-cream…I had some at Iggy’s in Myrtle Beach…on a cone…and I’m craving it still. It was vanilla ice cream with a fudge swirl, chunks of creamy rich chocolate fudge, and chocolate-covered peanut butter cups. Are you drooling now too? I would have taken a photo but I lacked self-control and I hoovered it. It may have been an overcast day and the breeze off the beach may have been cold, but this chick was eating her cone on the patio, huddled in a pink Myrtle Beach sweatshirt! All part of the vacation experience. I had earned it playing all 18 holes of mini golf…

I normally have no desire for ice cream during the winter months; rather, it usually grows slowly over the hot Summer days. When it’s cold, I want hot “comfort foods” instead. [Cake, pie, cookies, cheesecake…or anything with chocolate or cheese…as well as hot tea, are always categorized under “comfort food” – just in case there was any confusion!]. I [foolishly] bought cherry ice cream when I got groceries this week, thinking I won’t eat any…but, dare I say it? I was wrong. Not only did I fall off the gluten-free wagon and quit counting points during my holiday, I’ve now reignited my deep desire for all things sugary or sweet. Not only will I have to work it off shovelling snow, I may have to go for walks in the snow! I may have to start lifting weights or planking, or…who am I kidding?

Join me? Once scoop or two…
