Cheers to fresh beginnings. It’s the first day of a new month. I have removed the plastic from my yoga video. And I have picked a new look for my blog (what do you think? did it work?)

Yes, I’m still broken-hearted about an on-going crappy situation! Yes, I’m still fighting the sniffles and have the energy of a gnat.  But no more excuses!!

Hubby gave me an ipod shuffle for Christmas so that I would have something to entertain me when I walked…so this morning, despite the grey skies (where’s the sunshine predicted for today?), and the dropping temperature, I walked as soon as I got home from taking little guy to school. It’s recycle day on our street, and I discovered a few months ago that walking on recycle day is interesting. I now know who, on our street, drinks 1% milk, who makes wine, who eats Fibre 1 vs. Apple Jacks, who uses Tide vs. Sunlight, and who doesn’t know how to recycle properly!! I went further than I intended, in fact farther than I’ve gone in a long time, and I felt “the burn”. I imagine I’ll feel it more tomorrow. It’s hard to walk, cry, pray & sing all at the same time…but then I’ve always been good at multi-tasking!

“So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed germinates and roots itself.” ~Florence Nightingale

It’s a small step, a practical step. What small or practical steps are you planning for tomorrow? I may just join you!
